Here are some portraits I illustrated for Atlanta Magazine earlier this year. Each pairing is of brothers in the Atlanta area who work together in the restaurant business in some capacity.

Look away vegans, these cuts of meat were illustrated for the LCBO’s Food & Drink Magazine.
In Ontario we buy our liquor, wine and beer from the LCBO (the Liquor Control Board of Ontario) or the Beer Store. Yes, that is the name. Do you want to run to the corner store and buy a 6-pack of beer or bottle of wine? You won’t find any there! But head to the LCBO and you’ll find liquor aplenty as well as a beautiful magazine called Food & Drink. It is a free magazine with food and drink recipes, great photography and as of this month’s issue, tasty meat illustrations.
I had a great time working with the art directors at Milwaukee magazine on some spot illustrations for their recent issue about improving Milwaukee. The feature has 21 improvements to the city and they narrowed that down to about 7 that they wanted me to come up with ideas for. I was lucky to have a few of those drawings appear on the cover as well, and I was also asked to draw a couple portraits for the interior feature.
It’s always exciting to see my work on a magazine cover. Here are some of the illustrations I did for the cover and the interior.
I’m happy to finally be able to share these illustrations that I made for Grantland Quarterly issue 3. The new issue is out now and it’s a great book, beautifully designed.
I illustrated these two boxing poster-inspired pieces based on stories where the writer attended pretty lackluster, boring games between some bottom dwelling teams in the NBA. I drew the top poster first but after I finished they decided to go with a different story about the Wizards and the Raptors. I played a bit more on the fumbling and sloppy play in the second illustration and kept the format the same.
Hopefully the Raptors will be a bit more fun to watch this season and there won’t be too many more stories written about their mediocrity (who am I kidding).
